This three session College Audition Prep Workshop will sharpen your performance skills and give you the tools you need to give your best audition!
Join Tony Award winner Ben Harney (Dreamgirls, The Wiz, Pippin), Broadway star Jennie Harney - Fleming (Hamilton, The Color Purple) and Off-Broadway’s Justin Withers (Days of Rage) for a unique workshop experience that will provide insight, instruction and personal development.

Our College Audition Prep Workshop focuses on both Stage Acting and Musical Theatre.
The workshop consists of two parts,
split into three sessions
PART ONE: Assessments & Recommendations
(2 hours)
PART TWO: Coaching Sessions 1 & 2:
(3 hrs each)
PART ONE: Assessments & Recommendations
The key to any audition is preparation. In the first segment of this two - part workshop we want to meet you, watch you perform your audition material, then make recommendations to prepare you for our work together in the two Coaching sessions. You’ll meet us and your peers, we will assess where you are in your prep, what tools or materials you still might need and we’ll get familiar with your performance style to gauge how best to work with you.
PART TWO: Coaching Workshop (Sessions I & II)
The best way to approach improving your audition performance is by focusing on your strengths while managing your weaknesses. During your 2 Coaching Sessions you will workshop your selected material with Mr. Harney in a small class setting. Each class is 3-hours and will hold a maximum of 8 students, to insure everyone gets substantial focus time on their material.

NEED TO PREPARE

Bring a picture and resume

Bring 2 contrasting monologue options

(Or, if for Musical Theatre) 2 monologue and 2 song options

Have a print-out of the school/conservatory’s audition requirements & schedule

Know the play/musical your material is from and the scenes they are from

Know given circumstances of character and story

Wear comfortable clothing / what you would wear for your college audition

Bring water and a snack

Ready to enter the room as you would for your college audition.

$170
$60 deposit due when you submit the online application.
Full Balance of $110 due 48 hours before your first session.
Did You Know?
Mr. Ben Harney trained at The Juilliard School and later taught a residency at Fordham University. Many of Ben Harney's pupils have gone on to earn BFA's at reputable performing arts programs including CalArts, UArts, Purchase, Rutgers, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and many more.
